Barcelona is an enchanting city to meander through. A place to casually stroll along the streets inspecting the local and imported goods offered by the local merchants. Cacao Sampaka has incredible selection of mouth watering chocolate. It's a lovely store to spend a little time in and an easy place to spend a little money without feeling like you're getting gouged. Barcelona is filled with mystery and charm, as well as talented craftsmen. The individuality expressed by the people of Barcelona can be seen and felt everywhere you go. The shopping in Barcelona is incredibly diverse with several local merchants creating local goods. Often when we shop we find that most of what is available can be found anywhere else in the world but with the logo made created for that particular city. There are several shops throughout the center of Barcelona's shopping district that are unique with locally made goods. One of my favorite clothing stores is right in the heart of the shopping district. The store is owned by the designer who is local to the area. Once while in town, on our way to the Barcelona Port to go on a cruise, we were lucky enough to arrive during a sale. What a sale! Prices were incredibly reasonable. We walked out with bags of clothing. To this day, some of my favorite sweaters, dresses and blouses were purchased during that excursion. My father used to race Bultaco motorcycles. In fact, he was one of the first American racers to ever race the European circuit and was #1 in his class (250) in 1966. If you know Bultacos and are from Southern California then you'll know him as Steve from Steve's Bultaco! While I was getting ready to leave Barcelona, I found these Bultaco bags and accessories at the airport. Of course, I had to get one... For my 10th birthday my dad built me a 125 Alpina Trial bike from the frame up. He put a couple logs in the front yard, took the seat off and I learned to ride. Memories. Fond, fond memories... This store has more Dr. Martens than I have ever seen at any other store. I'm not saying it has the most... but man, there is no shortage here. Looking for cool, funky Docs to go with your whimsical nature? This is the place! This store carries docs of all colors, plus tons of embossed Docs, like the cool flower ones, etc. Basically, it's your Doc shop for specialty Dr. Martens. If you're in the mood for Doc Martens the Barcelona is a great place to shop for them. I've only seen equally as impressive Doc Marten stores on Melrose Ave in Los Angeles, St Marks in NYC, and in London. Shopping in Barcelona for chocolate is an adventure all it's own. The chocolate stores in Barcelona are as creative, original and unique as Barcelona itself. The chocolate creations range from fun and silly to elegant and sophisticated.
