Frugal Cruising

Researching Cheap Cruises

Sophie and I like to travel during off-season. It allows our money to go further and we don’t have to deal with busy streets and crowds. I’m both cheap and not that social.

One of the things on my “Things to Do Before I Die” list is to take a cruise. Periodically, I check cruises and nothing has ever seemed to be a good fit due to the location or cost of the cruise.

The travel bug has been biting pretty hard recently and I found myself searching the internet for cheap cruises.

Some of the best websites for cheap cruises I’ve found so far are TravelZoo, Cruises Only and Cruise.

People aren’t traveling as much right now because of the economic instability which has made cruise lines slash their rates. Just after Christmas is the slowest time of the year for purchases since everyone is recovering from their holiday buying sprees. The above make a ripe combination for cheap cruise prices!

If you’re interested in cheap cruises it is time to do a little online research. We found a 12-night cruise for under $600 per person on an all-inclusive ship. There are some fantastic deals out there. Maybe we’ll see you on a cruise someday soon!
