I gestured that I wanted to take his photo. The picture frame was laying on the ground in front of him. He pointed into the frame as though it were his magic cash box. I had euros at easy give-em-to-street-performers access and without missing a beat tossed one square into the middle of his picture frame. At which point, he picked up the frame and whimsically blessed me with these three fabulous photos. As I was taking his picture he was laughing at me and at, what he considered to be, the absurdity of taking a photo of an empty frame. I smiled and said, "Perfect. Absolutely perfect! Thank you." and headed into the night. I can't say I have ever put a euro to better use.
