Fish Market in Barcelona Right off Las Ramblas in Barcelona is a fabulous fish market tucked inside the belly of the Mercat de la Baqueria, a huge open air food market with every kind of edible item imaginable. The fish market encompasses a huge circle probably at least 30 meters in diameter with seller after seller putting their fabulous fish on display. As I walked around taking endless photos of a variety of fish from various vendor booths I noticed that all of the vendors where very tourist and picture friendly and some would even set their fish up for photos. If you are looking for fresh fish at a reasonable price the fish market in the Mercat de la Baqueria will offer you an abundance of options from eel to live crab and lobster to squid, shrimp as well as more exotic fish and common fish. Even if fish isn't your favorite food or you have no place to cook it and don't do homemade sashimi on the run, the Mercat de la Baqueria is worth experiencing at least once!
