A Cultural Cafe in Strasbourg L'artichaut (The Artichoke) is a cafe on Grand Rue in Strasbourg, France. It's a cool, hip cafe with a large room downstairs where patrons can listen to live music, watch student films from the local university, enter into lively political debats, and, of course, the main hub and gathering spot for the Strasbourg International Film Festival. L'artichaut is an easy place to hang out with your friends and talk politics, film, culture, music, etc. Its nights are filled with drinking and socializing while its walls are donated to the works of local artists and photographers. There is a pool table, huge full wall chalkboard, lots of board games and outdoor tables whether or not the weather warrants it... but always convenient for those in need of a cigarette break.
